Ethan Askew trading as LLLanyard, 119 Ridgehill Avenue, Intake, Sheffield, S12 2GN ("we") is the controller of the personal data described here. Contact us about privacy at sales@lllanyard.co.uk.
The LLLanyard software
LLLanyard runs on your own computer or server. Your API keys, agents, scripts and usage logs stay there, and none of it is sent to us. The software has no account, analytics or telemetry.
The one exception is a paid licence. In the last week before it runs out, the software sends the licence key itself to lllanyard.app to fetch its renewed key. The licence key contains its own ID, plan, number of users and dates, and nothing else. Our server records the request's IP address in its logs (see below). You can turn this off with LLLANYARD_NO_LICENSE_REFRESH=1.
This website
The site has no analytics, advertising or tracking. It sets two cookies that it needs to work: a session cookie and a security token that protects the order form. They expire after two hours.
Our servers, which we run ourselves in the UK, record each visit's IP address, the page requested and your browser type in their logs, to keep the site secure and working. We keep these logs for 14 days.
If you buy a licence
When you buy Pro or Team, we keep the name the licence is issued to, your email address, your plan, number of users and billing period, your licence keys, and your Stripe customer and subscription references. We use them to issue, email and renew your licence key, answer your questions and keep business and tax records. Our lawful basis is performing our contract with you, and our legal obligations for tax records.
Payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card details. Stripe collects your payment details and billing address under its own privacy policy.
We keep order and licence records for 6 years after your subscription ends.
If you email us
We use what you send us to reply and, if you become a customer, to support you. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in answering enquiries, or taking steps to enter a contract with you. We keep emails for up to 2 years after our last contact, or longer if they form part of a customer's records. Licence emails and our mailboxes are provided by Microsoft 365.
Who we share data with
We only share personal data with Stripe and Microsoft, who act for us as described above, and where the law requires it (for example a lawful request from the police). Where a provider handles data outside the UK, we rely on UK adequacy regulations or the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum. We never sell personal data.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, or move it to someone else, by emailing sales@lllanyard.co.uk. We may need to keep some records for tax purposes even if you ask us to delete them. If you're unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
